went garage saling with my mom and uncle friday morning. bought things i should not have, and did not need at all.
robin and i made a dinner for everyone friday night. i made pakoras, and sweet potatoe chips (yumm...fried food! :)), robin grilled meat and made shish kabobs, he also grilled some potatoes.

had the writing group saturday morning, the one thing that always makes me happy. we have new members to the group and right at the start they have proven to be good writers. preetham also came this week, i am always impressed by the way my brother writes, considering that he is a freakin' industrial engineer, and i will be sad when he follows through on his tempation to quit the group...
had dinner at mom and dad's saturday night, i "indianized" the leftover potatoes and took it there for them. added curry powder, chillies and some cumen. people liked it. yay!

sunday, i had lunch at anu's house. it was fun and the food was good.

(my mom also bought me this little 'stair stepper' thing, and i have been using it all weekend, esp when watching tv, in between the shows, during the commercials. this really did help me to keep my levels down during this food filled w/e, for which i am glad.)

after dalhia read this amazing story that she wrote, alan said something which i thought was very interesting. he mentioned that she had the style used by most indians, in which everything was described in detail. he mentioned that the indian culture loves words and to explore the exact meaning of words,along with the idea that everything is described. i love that idea.
