memorial day vacation to chicago started mid tuesday (5/20) through sunday (5/25).
-went to devon of course. went to the vicerory. yummy, loved it and will recommend it to anyone, esp the butter chicken.
also did some grocery shopping and bought two shalwars! (robin and my brother left me alone to go shopping...ugh!! i shouldn't have bought the shalwars...but...they were sooo pretty and apparently it was a 'blow out sale', how could i say no??)

went to six flags with robin. i love scary rides. i thought that i was too old (and actually robin and i were one of the few that were over 21 and without children), for scary rides...but it was so fun. esp the superman and batman.

as a favor for my mother and father we went to a temple,the rama temple, to get blessed for our anniversary (went with gautham my brother). beautiful temple, reminded me of tirupathi, india.

car overheated in chicago. we got lucky. robin, my brother and i were standing in the corner with the overheated car, and we had so many people who came over to help us. i love chicago. we did take it to a shop nearby, apparently it was a thermostat thing, but it was fixed fairly quickly and for a decent price. like i said we got lucky.

what else? there were about 14 dead deer and 8 dead raccoons, and one huge rollover accident. all seen during the drive back and forth, minneapolis to chicago and back. :(

we did go to a bar, john barleycorn, and we watched a karaoke contest. very fun. we were very impressed by some of the singers, and horrified by a couple. next time, i am going up there, and i won't need alcohol to do it...i hope.
