i was thinking about the trip to six flags over the vacation, specifically about the kids that i saw there. 'the kids' were actually between 10 and 21 mostly, and were just horrifying to watch. is it the fact that i am getting older and am seeing things differently than before? or is it that society or in this case 'the kids' are changing?

i guess that i am talking specifically about the kids looking like they were 13 and having their hands all over their SOs (significant other). all over. little 13 year old kids. ugh! how young are these kids when they start having sex?? how scary!!! maybe this had been happening when i was 13 too and didn't notice it...cause i was too much of a nerd to have an SO...or had parents who were too strict to even let boys call me, let alone have their hands on my a**. i think that it was the latter mostly and the former partly.

anyway, maybe it's okay for them to experience 'love' and gain knowledge on the subject and develop their character and their ability to care about others, blah, blah, blah... 'lust' usualy comes with love, so it is a given that if we are okay to let them feel love then it would be a given that we are allowing lust.

i don't know, i do remember watching happy days, when i was 13 and seeing that richie cunningham dated this girl and that...but i don't remember hands all over i don't think, so i wasn't influenced by that...and i remember laura falling in love with almonzo in 'laura ingalls wilder', but they didn't touch each other til they got married...

i am beginning to believe the hype that the media is the reason why the kids are f*cked up...and yes i am saying that they are i guess...after writing all this out, i have decided that it is not right for kids to be feeling each other up when they should or could be doing more innocent things (not alternatives to sex like drinking or destroying property...i mean truly innocent, like reading, sports, trading cards, shopping, etc.,)! i do think that the media with it's dawson's creek (i love that show!) and felicity and whatever new show is 'the show to watch' now...they all have influences who are all over each other, basically, and with alot of 'each other's.

whenever i do have children, how in the world am i going to avoid having my child/children become like the kids at six flags?
