went to the news room on saturday, with family and friends. liked the place. good food, good atmoshphere. i had the 5 herb chicken with sweet potatoes...although i ate more of the potatoes than the chicken...but that is mostly because i am a huge sweet potatoe fan, but also b/c the chicken was just okay, not spectacular. chris had the jambalaya, which i must say i liked the most of all the dishes that i sampled. we also had this thin bread thing that was pretty good. the best part was reading the paper on the walls heading to the bathroom.

ran into an old friend over the weekend. kii. i always love running into him. he said i looked skinny, and that i am going to be a skinny mom (i adore him even more now). and after seeing his site, i am even more impressed by his talent in design. and it has been ages since i have seen his band,flipp, i would love to take robin to their show. i wonder what things they are doing now? still throwing out food items onto the audience, or mooning the crowd?:)

i had a tough weekend. a few people let me down. makes me evaluate and reevaluate things a little. what is life without that right? anyway, i am so happy to be making new aquaintances, and am thankful for new beginnings(folks met via the writing group, and the folks met through here).
