are you wondering where have i been? well i have been on a honeymoon to the uk.

robin and i left thursday night (3/24) and returned the following thursday night (4/3). we went first to london and then to edinburgh scotland. it was my fourth time to london and second time to edinburgh. robin's first time, first time outside of the country actually. he had alot of fun i think!! i am glad.

the tubes are so wonderful and so easy!! (unless of course if you are the kind to follow rather than lead when it comes to transportation, like some friends of mine) london was as usual amazing in that the desi/india/paki communinity is so huge. i love seeing so many that look like me, but are very ingrained into the country. i felt less like the "unusual ethnicity", as i do here. i loved london for it's comfort, i always feel at home there.

i loved edinburgh for it's beauty. it's gorgeous architecture, it's fields of green. both of the countries had so much history and we were able to delve into a little of it. robin loved the historical aspect and he never tired of climbing the stairs of castles as i did. he especially loved the tours detailing the executions and the battles.

(by the way, were any bloggers in edinburgh this weekend? any specifically eating at the 'indian calvary club'? i sat next to about 6 or 7 indian men and i just had the strongest feeling that some were bloggers whose blogs i have read!!!)

---

no problems whatsoever with the traveling. *diabetes was under control...actually my levels had never been so low, even after i ate large meals. the exercise from walking had such a wonderful effect. *no spitting on americans as was predicted. good. i didn't believe that it would happen anyway.

---

we also saw a wonderful play starring ian mckellan (gandolf from LOTR). dance of death. amazing play, dark, sombre, deep, sentimental, surprising. hard to watch at times, but truly touching. and ian mckellan!!! we were in the 4th row, we could see him breathing, and we could practically see every crevice on his face.

-------------------

upon our return, we found that a condo in our complex got sold, and it was by a woman who looked at ours first. dognamit!!

--------------------

had an ultrasound. the baby is getting bigger and still looking healthy. yay!! you can see it's little head and tummy and the starting of the little arms and feet. and you can see a heartbeat, which is amazingly big, so big that you can see each beat.

--------------------

robin, preetham and i went to see the band soul asylum last night. i think that i have seen them about 6 times in my life, and each time, i am amazed by how much i like the band. their songs bring back other years, other times, and they really do rock! after all these years, they are still amazing to see.

-------------------

back to the grind. i am beginning to be bored of my job. i would love to be teaching. something, anything. maybe even 'crystal reports', so instead of writing reports, as i do now, i could be teaching it!! i would love to do this, but i have no idea of how to get started, and i know that this is the worst time to make a career change.
