family came over to the house. mom, dad, preeth, anu, shreya, prathima, aunty and uncle and melody and kristen. fun. super. played charades, watched my dad act out 'scent of a woman' and prathima 'planet of the apes' oh and robin did 'changing lanes' and preeth did 'godfather' and i did 'midsummer night's dream' and anu did 'horse whisperer' and bhargavi aunty did 'color purple'...mom laughed the whole time and uncle watched with interest!! it was super fun. gotta do it again...oh and i served appetizers, mostly vegetarian, dad asked if i have something against meat these days...and after seeing all the dead animals at the side of the road, it's true that i prefer to not eat meat...but the reason i didn't serve any is mostly because i only had veg food around to cook.

i am still missing the marriage certificate..eee gawd...called srikanth to see if he might have taken it with accidently to madison...to no avail...but we did have a good conversation...about life, about india and pakistan possibly fighting...about the similarities to the israel-palestine issue...

anyway, prathima left this morning with the kids, and aunty and uncle are leaving as well. :( it will be so quiet now!!!

wedding memory:cake, yummy...the priest telling mom and dad what to do and pissing me off at the hindu ceremony, the minister/officiant at the american ceremony standing too far away from us and behind us which pissed me off cause it was so odd;me, running around like a chicken with it's head cut off at the american wedding, yet being so cool and collected the night before at the rehearsal cause i knew what i was doing and dad said that i looked like a director; suzette fixing the bussel of my skirt, along with sue, in front of everyone at the reception time, cause the train had been dragging and getting dirty; the wives of dad's friends all giggling and drinking a little, having fun without their hubbies, and i, wishing that mom was a part of that group.
