i hate politics, but i love being knowledgeable...but what is the use of knowledge when not every one has it; why vote, when the country votes against the things that you believe in. ugh!!

yes, i am not very happy this morning. yes the Republicans kicked ass and have been able to win control of the Senate and up the # of republican house of representatives. yes, we have a Republican Governor and a Senator.
who do i blame? Ventura for pulling his stunt of placing an Independent as an Interim Senator, thus causing people to feel angry at the independent party; Rick Kahn, Wellstone's close friend, who overdid the rally for Wellstone's replacement at Wellstone's memorial, angering Democrats, who were watching to mourn Wellstone not to listen to a rally, and any folks who were undecided, now were angry with the party in general for making the memorial into a rally; President Bush, for forgoing the role of a president to become the biggest campaigners of all Republicans Senate and Governor Candidates, sometimes visiting the state twice or more times to rally for the candidates; all those who decided to not vote (esp those who were leaning towards the non-republican candidates), feeling that their vote didn't matter.
so what now? definitely we will be killing innocent iraqis and there will be a war. what else? i am afraid and i am definitely not very happy this morning.

i am going back to the days when i didn't listen to news in the morning, and listened instead to pop music on the radio. knowledge is futile, it only makes you scared and sad.

shiva tells me that there is an update to the post i made regarding Swati Dandekar."As expected, Swati Dandekar of the Democratic Party was elected from the 36th district to the Iowa state assembly, making her the first Indian American woman to be elected to a legislative body in the United States. " YAY!! desi people are proud of you ms.dandekar, desi women are proud of you! so karen balderston's tactic of alienating a fellow american, by making her feel less american...did not go over very well. kick-ass!
