best day ever

it's friday. yay. r stays home the next couple of days which means 'field trips' with the kids, help with the kids, and maybe just maybe some me and r time. doubtful.

we went to khan's mongolian barbeque  tonight with the three. the boys loved the ability to choose whatever they want and obviously loved watching the cooks and the fires that are started with the dripping oil on the circle stove and the loud gong that rings when a tip is left. all of it. ani just loved being out of the house and decided to play pour and spill with the soup bowls, trying to pour soup from one bowl to the other bowl meant spilling.

at the end of the dinner, they both said "you are the best mommy" and "you are the best daddy" and " the best day ever"...or was that last apart after they got the shoes that they have been wanting for 3 months but couldn't have due to a lack of funds. the lack of funds still exist of course but they needed shoes. 

it was a good day definitely.  

although i did forget to properly take my insulin due to all the craziness...but i did not eat any carbs and i walked alot, hopefully that counted for something.
