we went to the guthrie last night to see crowns, a musical/play with a focus on african american culture and the relevance of hats to the women of the culture. it was really good actually. the music was gospel, this idea scared me a little since i would like to think of myself as not religious, but it was wonderfully sung and accompanied by really fun music. i liked it.

hubs was very reluctant to go, esp when i showed him the description of the play/musical. he thought that it would be about women for women. but, he enjoyed it, he laughed along with me, and stomped his feet to the music along with everyone else.

it was also good to see sue, suzette and sue's mom, for they also went to the play. thanks sue for getting us the tickets! i can't wait for romeo and juliet.
