i had a doctor's appointment in downtown yesterday afternoon. i asked hubs to come with me, and he did. after the appointment, we walked around downtown and marvelled at how beautiful and cool it is, so different from the suburbs where we work. i hate working in the suburbs.

anyway, we grabbed something to eat at the *newsroom cafe, shopped at marshall field's for a present for his mom, and went to the willa wonka's chocolate factory exhibit at marshall field's. we were surrounded by kids, one little baby was enamored by robin, and wouldn't take her eyes off of him. cute.

the exhibit was definitely cute, and i would recommend it to anyone, esp those with children. although i was dissapointed to not having been given free candy, for after all that talk of candy and chocolate's, one definitely craves chocolates and candy!

it was a lovely little 'date' that i had with my husband.

*here are some links to the newsroom restaurant/bar/cafe in minneapolis. travel's #8 of 10 for outrageous bathroom. according to the guardian- things to do in minneapolis. an episcopal church site likes it.
