a pop stand manned by two little girls is shut down . okay, two little girls are out having fun, and doing the 'american' thing, sitting outside selling something and starting a biz at a young age (7 and 4). very, very, cute that they would want to do this at all i think.

at first, i was horrified that someone, the city, would stop such cuteness. the idea that anyone would take away something from children like that made me mad. they would have learned how to talk to people, to trade money for a product, and other fun things.

now, though, after reading the story, i am thinking, that what the city did is maybe not such a bad thing. it is teaching them to run a business properly, to obey all laws when starting a biz, and that nothing comes for free. (maybe publicity, but that's about the only thing)

maybe it is all fair at the end, that the city gets everyone to follow the same rules regardless of the size of the business. or maybe this is the method that the city is taking to raise money to alleviate our financial problems.

i am so glad it's friday. i have had a very, very, tough week. 3 days off. i wish that robin didn't work this w/e, i would love to go somewhere...somewhere where there is the ocean, sun, and cute little shops selling things cheaply.
