friday night, i had a mellow girls night with kim and sophia (and aunty and amaan-sophia's mom and baby). cooked thai food and watched life as a house. by the way the boxed curries are really good, totally recommend it to someone who doesn't have too much time to cook.

i just got home from a concert. cake, flaming lips, de la soul, modest mouse and kinky. flaming lips were mad-crazy and super fun to watch, people dressed like animals and big disco balls, and a movie screen in the back with naked girls and paul newman fighting. it was fun and funny. cake was good and happy music, i love hearing their songs. de la soul rocked, in their hip hop style, they even brought out a member from black sheep. hip hop concerts just wake people up and get them in a party mood, and most definitely de la soul was able to do that. it was too bad though cause by the time cake came on folks were a little tired after dancing so much to de la soul. anyway,it was a good concert, glad i went! and roy wilkins was actually an alright place to see a concert, huge open space & decent sound, the lights were cool too. my heart still belongs to first avenue though, my former second home.

anyway, i got home late, around 12:30am, and i managed to dodge the cops for i was speeding big time. i got lucky, there were many that were not so lucky! lots of cars were pulled over, tickets and tickets galore. the police must have some sort of quota during this labor day holiday.
