i personally think that the detentions are disgusting. esp because of the fact that of "the 762 detainees, only alleged Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui is facing a terrorism charge". 762 detainees. disgusting. all because of the fact they did not the do the proper paperwork and b/c they stupidly wanted to stay in a country illegaly. harsh treatment for making the wrong decision in life, and staying beyond the time required in the US of A. Yes i know it was post 9/11, we were scared of everyone and angry at anyone who resembled the people who caused 9/11. we felt that anyone who resembled the hijackers, and who also took advantage of a priveledge given to visit us, the US...should not be treated like humans. but like a dog, tied up in cage, beaten sometimes, but definitely made to feel as small as an infant, and as scared as the smallest dog feels in a cage with very big dogs, and as valueless as a penny in bank with 1000 dollar bills. we wanted them to feel that way, and i do believe that they felt that way. we had revenge indeed for those responsible for 9/11, see what we do to your people. to me this is why the detentions of these people were allowed to happen.
you can tell me that it is protect the country, but i won't believe you.

the minneapolis desi writing group is coming along really nicely. although, i am contemplating making the website for our minneapolis desi writing group to be open to the general public, all over the freakin world. i wonder if there is any interest? a place that is strictly for desis and those associated with desis...a place that allows folks to write of topics related to the other countries...i.e. sari, bhindi, karma, cocunut trees, rainy summers,rickshaws,kerosene lamps,extended family,etc.,

asp classes are going okay. although i found out that it's best if i learn vb first, so i am trying to learn vb first and seeing the relationship to asp.
