pbro, hubs and i went to a cute little place yesterday, the tea garden. the place had amazingly yummy teas, and tea shakes, as well as fruitey coolers...and oh yeah they put little tapioca pearly in the bottom of the shakes and coolers, if you ask for it.

i liked the place although it really made me wish i was half of my age...with it's very young employees, who are of course beautiful...and it's very young clientele (a group of 10 to 15 year olds came in, noisy and full of fun).

tuesday night, mom, hubs and i went the guthrie's performance of romeo and juliet. although the actors were dressed more in modern day clothes, the language and the story is definitely the story that shakespeare told.

the language, of course, made the play a little more difficult to follow...which bugged robin to no end...but it wasn't at all as difficult as i expected. it was good overall. mom had a good time, even though some of the characters get a little raunchy (as the guys spoke of what they planned to do with girls, and showed with body motions what that would be exactly!)...her favorite character was, strangely enough, one of the raunchiest of characters..."Mercutio,

kinsman to the Prince, friend of Romeo, [played by] Karl Kenzler"....for he was really funny actually, as well as heart warming.

anyway, it was good to get out and do something cultural. it was definitely nice to forget about the world and it's politics for a little while at least.
