smoking in u.n. headquarters banned by kofi annan, and some diplomats question why. hello! b/c the rest of the nyc is doing it...b/c most of the country is doing it...b/c there is no sprinkler system in the building. it's good enough for me. of course i am not a smoker, and i don't work in the u.n. headquarters.

a case is made against Britain's Minister of Defense,stating that there was unneccessary killing of iraqui civilians. hmm...interesting, the person suing had 3 generations of his family killed in the war due to "either alleged unlawful killing or gross negligence ".
A mother, a sister and nieces and nephews. all killed. all b/c the MOD thought that Chemical Ali was staying there. there have been worse reasons to bomb people, homes, and cities, countries in the past, so I cannot believe that this case will get anywhere.
