hosted a dinner party (with hubs) on friday. had loads of fun trying new recipies and showing off the humble abode.
i also met some interesting people...one of which was a young man of 22. most of the people knew that he was young and didn't bother to get to know him...but somehow we got to talking...and i found out how complex he was. dropped out of high school at 14, started hacking computers, and got hired by a company b/c he was good at it and is now making tons of money and is very experienced in IT. good for him...in the process though he has also conquered a problem with drugs and hopefully he stays off it.

anyway, it was interesting to see how folks don't give people that young a chance to be of interest, and some don't give folks that are much older a chance either. hmm...what a bore it is to talk to only those that are just like you.

trying new diabetes medicine...prescribed by the doc...and my levels are horridly high, it was 241 this morning where normally it's 120. i am not happy at all!!
