hubs and i went out to a co-worker's going away party. we went to chino. their mojito is one of the best in town, (bar abilene is the best by far). I also had an oyster shooter, which was...well...not bad actually, and it was actually filling. what is it? an oyster with soy sauce and a few shredded jalepones, in a little glass. you put it next to your lips, tilt your head and swallow it. then you squeeze a lemon/lime into your mouth.

overrall it was fun. i think that pieter had a good time, as did the folks who came to say goodbye. the guys who came were funny, i stupidly mentioned a word that i hated, and of course they kept repeating it, over and over. by the way, pieter also brought his girlfriend, or 'female friend' and it was cute to watch him show his affection for her. it's crazy to see someone who had stated to be non-chalant in the dating scene, to be so committed to a woman. good for him, good for her. now if everyone i cared about could find a mate (not the english/australian 'mate', but the american 'mate'- the soul mate type of mate).
