mom and dad came back last night. very weary looking. it was so nice to see them. dad looks older...and acts old!! mom looks cute and tired and wanting to please...dad says jump and she jumps but complains about it quietly. ugh! i hate watching that!!!



they brought back lots and lots of things. lots of sari's by various sirish aunty, seetha pinni, rajini aunty, raja uncle. and beatiful presents from seetha pinni (a mailbox),raja uncle (elephants), a beautiful bedspread by pranitha. beautiful presents all for what? guess!! my wedding. robin laughed at that over the phone when i told him...wedding presents before getting engaged. this is so backwards!!! but fun still. mom has about 10 rituals that i apparently have to do to enable a good wedding,or a blessed wedding i mean. ugh!



robin and i fought yet again about how, when, where, etc., regarding the wedding...he keeps saying that he wants small,and he doesn't realize that the 60 people is already so small!!! i could add so many! as could he i am sure. i just got done talking to a coworker and he said that he estimates that the average spent is between 7 and 15 thousand. ugh! robin is just getting scared about paying...but at the end...it will work out. i am sure of it...we will just have a yucky bill is all.



what else? preeth told mom and dad that he got laid off. i had already told mom on the way from the airport...but...anyway, i kinda accused dad of possibly being capable of being angry, and he said 'why would i be angry, i am just sad'...so then of course preeth, feeling bad and guilty, went to the computer and spent about 2 hours looking for a job. he needs to move out and he knows it...but where? when? how? with who?
