i have run into a lot of writing related links and news today.

a 15 year old best selling author. pretty amazing girl, who found it simply, necessary to finish a story. and she did. a 15 year old has taught me something today.

metafilter poster asks, 'what makes a writer' and people have views of what that is. the article in the metafilter post states "preternatural love of aesthetic order; that they are in relentless pursuit of the truth (as they understand it); and, on the somewhat less complimentary side, that they are ego-driven and therefore attention-craving beyond all reckoning".

metafilter posts, of course, have their own views, some say, alot of hard work, and some say to pay that lunacy is a trait of a writer.
