vacation

we are here in arizona. pool table, ping pong, pool, and beautiful weather. whereever you drive there is a constant prescence of the mountain that is part of the scenery. the dry brown desert landscape is not esthetically pleasing. with the exotic cactuses and the sporadic desert flowers and cotton fields, it is in fact beautiful. the people here are what i enjoyed the most on this trip, my fourth trip to arizona. we were able to hit some garage sales this time and i, being me, got to have conversations with the owners of the garage sales. all were hispanic, one was originally from new mexico, the other family were very americanized and true arizoners who questioned the influx of new owners in the neighborhood, and the last one was an innuit who spoke three languages. amazing people who make me want to move here more. how fun would it be to learn a new language, to learn of new cultures. the weather...the weather. love this 70 degree weather. soon i will have to go back to 30 degree minnesota. soon i will be surrounded by white, for 5 months. ugh.
