Money money

<p>I shop at thrift stores to stretch out our dollar. Recently my son begged me to buy him something from a real store and not used. This is the same son who worries I have spent too much already on shopping trips. My other son, who generally grabs things he likes, toys, etc, and puts it into the cart, surprised me by pointing out that a thing I bought for 50 cents is usually 15 dollars at Michael's.

Lately when we see big houses my kids say "yucky richies live there."

I think I am expressing my frustrations with our lack of money too much. I worry that perhaps my 7 year olds should not be this aware of our finances.

Although it is so refreshing to know that they don't ask for things, don't seem to be lacking things and are happy in general.
